I am happy to say that today, April 1, the wonderful Art Journal Online Workshop "21 Secrets" has begun! You can find out about it here! It promises to be a whole lot of fun! I am super-eager to get started :)
Easter was so nice :) Kyle and Jubilee had a blast, and I actually requested off from work on Sunday so I was able to go to church. It as well-worth it! Here are my precious little bunnies ;)
So I was working on an art journal page yesterday, and I thought it would be fun to do some layers. I initially collaged with a bit of papers, then sprayed some inks... it looked awesome! But, alas, I HAD to add some gesso... and I must admit, the page lost some of it's appeal. The gesso mixed with the ink (even though I thought it was dry!) and basically just made a bit of a muddy mess... oh well, I know I can fix it, but still... I hate when you're totally loving a page (or painting) and then you do something to it, and... ugh! Ever happen to you?

Have fun with the art journaling course!
I hate when something doesn't turn out right! :(
Sweet photo of the kiddos! I make messes all the time...but often I come up with new designs from them and it becomes a gift. Hope it turns out well!
I muck things up time and time again.
Just part of the creative process I suppose.
Your kidlets are looking so sweet in their Easter outfits.

Jen, we do not make messes, I call those "variations". That journal entry intrigues me. I want to see :)

And yes, I have messed something up when it was just fine the way it was...ugh!
Precious!
Oh... yes, many times! LOL
Whatever I make usually does not turn out the way I envisioned it in my mind when I strted out.
I have recently taken to making a "trial and error" Beta Test one to work out the kinks.
Kyle and Jubilee are so adorable.
Never worked with that medium.

When I have supposedly messed up something in that way, I tell myself it is a lesson to learn not to stay attached to things. Sometimes it works in my head and sometimes not!
I've messed things up many many times, that's why I cheat and work digitally now. ;)
