Works in Progress...

The snow is falling outside... not much accumulation, but enough. Thankfully, it's not hard, but rather soft... you know, the dusty kind. The streets are nice and clear, so that's great.

So, I'm ready to go to work tomorrow... 11 hours Saturday AND Sunday. I have a lot of time while at work to get some art done, which is ideal, as it's tough at home with two little ones :) My children always come first, of course! So I try and utilize my free time at work to get some art journal pages done. I have many in progress thus far, but are not quite done yet...

So, I have plenty of pages to work on, plus many white pages not yet begun. And I've the time to create... the only issue is, what do I bring? I usually have far too many art supplies with me to begin with. I can't struggle with all the stuff (markers, stencils, ink, paint (acrylic AND watercolor), pencils, brushes, select papers and ephemera, etc.) lol... any suggestions?

Bring markers and glittery pens! You do amazing work with those, and they (should) take little space in a pencil pouch.

I hope you have some sort of container to carry your supplies with you to work. I'd bring everything I could stuff into the carrier (just in case). I know you'll probably miss something - but when you miss it - put it on the list - tape the list to the underside, inside the carrier. When you return home - remove what you didn't use and replace with what you wish you had.

Sounds like a good idea from Rita, I am picturing a tackle box.
But pencils and markers would be the easiest.
Simple and effective

I think you would have to bring whatever you can carry since you don't know what you will want to create (unless you plan ahead).

That is a tough decision! Mostly I work in watercolor and ink and I have little portable sets.

Have you tried coming up with a theme or subject matter to follow when working on the weekend's pages? If you did that, you could just take things that fit the theme or subject you decided to work on.

LOL, thanks everyone. As it is, I take 3 bags with me! And I never know what I'm going to work on until I'm inspired by the moment...

Maybe you could find a portable scrap booking supply carrier cheap, or maybe a suitcase to tote your stuff in, baggies to store supplies inside organized.

You have a lot of really nice pages. Maybe look up zentangle... Also stenciling could be good.
