Illustration Friday: Lost

My submission this week to Illustration Friday.

I was thinking of what it would be like to be a shell, alone on a beach, with not another shell for miles around... inevitably feeling as if there SHOULD be more shells, and perhaps I was in the wrong place? Maybe, just maybe... if I found my way back into the ocean, I wouldn't feel so lost anymore...

Oh poor shell! All alone, but it is a lovely shell.

Oh I thought that shell was perched on the edge of a cliff trying to decide whether to jump off. Good to see on closer view it is just sitting by the water.

I think my daughter would worry about a shell being lonely!

What a pretty illustration of how we can all feel lonely sometimes until we find our way back.
