My submission this week to Illustration Friday.
I was thinking of what it would be like to be a shell, alone on a beach, with not another shell for miles around... inevitably feeling as if there SHOULD be more shells, and perhaps I was in the wrong place? Maybe, just maybe... if I found my way back into the ocean, I wouldn't feel so lost anymore...

Oh poor shell! All alone, but it is a lovely shell.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work!
ReplyDeleteHope the tide comes in hight and soon, little shell. Glad you stayed out long enough for us to admire you!
ReplyDeleteOh I thought that shell was perched on the edge of a cliff trying to decide whether to jump off. Good to see on closer view it is just sitting by the water.
ReplyDeleteYikes, Hannah! That's rather... dramatic! ROFL!
ReplyDeleteShells are lovely, even if loney.
ReplyDeleteI really like your illustration. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove your beach theme illustrations!
ReplyDeleteahhhh poor shell:( Tonight I was out with one of my nieces and I told her to go over to the table behind us and bring back the one lone napkin because I thought it might be lonely . . .lol I'm loving all your new ocean illustrations! :)
ReplyDeletefear not little shell. the tide will come in soon and sweep you into the sea with all your family and friends..........
ReplyDeleteI think my daughter would worry about a shell being lonely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty illustration of how we can all feel lonely sometimes until we find our way back.
